I synced dependencies and fixed a local migration script

I spent an hour on docs and test paths.

• fixed a missing command in a setup section,
• aligned naming with how people actually run it,
• added one reproducible failure case.

Result

The contribution is tiny, but now it is one less context trap for the next time I touch it.
